Now, THIS is swank camping!

Design Within Reach is now selling customized Airstream trailers... :snap:

always loved those. I still cant help but drool over them on the rare occasion I see one anymore.

sorta....pricey

How funny! I was just going to post something about a swanky trailer myself.

The latest issue of Sunset features some info on the T@B. Looks totally cute, and less expensive than the Airstream, but also smaller.

When Heather and I went to Maker Faire, we had a chance to check out the T@Bs. Very cool stuff.

There's a place in the Bay Area called hardtent that rents them by the day.

Both are cool but I prefer not to compromise; If I am camping I want a tent and if not I want a Hotel.

I could do the RV lifestyle and Lani and I have serious considerations of getting a van conversion like a RoadTrek.

Saw a T@B at Yosemite and it was cute but I don't think I'd actually want one.

Those RoadTreks are cool. I wish they weren't so darn expensive. I think a short class C is cheaper, and has a little more room for not too much extra length.

The nice thing about the RoadTreks is that in a pinch, they could be used as a second car...not one you'd want to commute in or anything but if you are a one car family that just needs a second car for occasional use a Roadtrek could go get groceries or whatnot without too much trouble. Not something you would do in a class A or C.

Of course for the kind of money they want for those Roadtreks I'd rather have a Jaguar:)

I usually say the same thing but damn, are these cool. :)

Well, if one must use an RV why not one of these?

I know, I know, unless you are a member of a Eurodance group like Aqua probably not an option......but one can dream:)
