Vintage Tooncast
I have really enjoyed this on Itunes as a great video Toon cast.
Recently they had a cartoon short called "Hooked Bear" Humphrey the bear and Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore. Of course they play anything from Popeye the sailor to Bugs Bunny. Most of these cartoon shorts are too NON-PC that will never see a remaster on DVD. And they play alot of World War 2 educational videos. Is there anybody else who listens and watches this Videocast? Also are there any other video casts or podcasts that would be recommended? I have a commute and the regular podcasts are really nice to have. :) Thanks |
"Vintage Tooncast" is the name of the podcast?
National Geographic has some great podcasts. Discovery Channel's podcasts are too often glorified commercials. Behind the Magic has several video casts mixed in amongst their audio casts. I'm hoping Mousepod will soon make video casts available, nudge nudge). I'd sure love to see "The Martins and the Coys!" |
Not toon related, but our household are big big fans of Rocketboom.
Also catching our interest has been the Onion News Network. As tired as the "print" edition has gotten, and as wary as I am of them hooking up with CNN, these little quick-hit video bits have been pretty entertaining. |
I subscribe to Vintage Tooncast, though I've not watched too many (I discovered them about a month ago).
I'm with Gn2dl, mousepod - vidcasts, a good idea. But, I suspect that toying with the copyright issues and Disney watchdogs would not be worth tempting fate. |
Thanks for all the suggestions I added them to my Itunes list. I'll listen to Mousepod either way. I will be looking for more.

This is the second time in as many days that someone has suggested I do a vidcast (one of my friends does a vidcast which regularly get 50,000 downloads per episode).
Sooo.... I'm going to do a one-shot vidcast in the next couple of weeks. You've been warned. |

"Hooked Bear" is on the Disney Rarities DVD. Is it really in the public domain? Is "Hooked Bear" a special case?

And how might this vidcast look on a 16:9, 40" LCD? I guess we'll find out.
