Mr Wizard, you were great

Mr Wizard died today,http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=265522&GT1=7703 Obviously I wasnt' old enough to watch him in the 50's but I must have seen reruns. I also remember seeing him on tv in the 80's and thinking he was still cool! He made science easier to understand and play with for me

According to a recent article, Don Herbert, known as "Mr. Wizard" on television for 14 years as he introduced a generation of younger viewers to basic science on Saturday mornings beginning in 1951, insisted doctors only treat his disease with "common items found around the house." The article went on to say doctors valiantly tried to save him, forgoing high-energy x-rays for a spinning circus flashlight and an empty peanut butter jar.
