The Slits - HoB Anaheim 7/31/2007

I just picked up a pair of advance sale tickets for this one, but they go on sale to the general public on 6/30. Back in my punk rock days I'd never imagine there would be a time I could go to Disneyland and see the Slits all in the same evening.

OOooh... that would be a fun show to see.

I think so

We are all here in California and ready to go!

Tonight in San Francisco, tomorrow in Orange County (we're going to Disneyland after soundcheck!), then Thursday in San Diego and Friday in LA!!!! Please tell your friends to come by and say hi and have fun at the shows!

We have some amazing news about more shows, the new album, and other cool stuff which we'll be posting the next few months. Thanks for all the nice messages and comments, keep them coming!

It makes me smile

Woo hoo! I hope they come out to the WDW house of Blues. I'd definitely go.

Have fun tonight! There was something so... legitimate... about the Slits back in the old days, that I'll bet they've aged well. I wonder if any of their Dub influences will make their way into the '07 show.

The Slits were great - I wish the crowd were too. I guess it started out as a real old school situation - great band, small club with hardly anyone there except friends and family of the band. The perfromances were great and they still seemed to have a good time even returning some banter to the drunk "Slit Tourists" who wanted to hear Grape Vine - "Sorry luv, we're not going to do that one on account of Marvin Gaye's recent death."

Still love their punk dub sound

Heh - I was amused noticing that the new members could be there kids - didn't realize that one new member, Hollie Cook is Sex Pistol's Paul Cook's daughter - now I'm really feeling nostalgic - or is that old?

Tessa and Ari - my two favorite band members - are still playing. Tess was my bass-chick hero. She's still super cool. Ari is still great on stage and the band sounded wonderful. That was some punk rock pedigree on stage! Ari's mom was married to Johnny Lydon. Hollie is Paul Cooks daughter? She's the back-up singer, right? She was great on stage.

Tessa is Lilly Allen's godmother!
