Happy Birthday, 3894!
 

CP cupped a hand around the wick as she lit the candle. The flame bit in and light bloomed along the mahogany desk. Her hand shook slightly as she reached for a pen.

My dearest 3894, she scribbled. It has been a while since we've crossed paths, and I suppose that's how the world works, sometimes. I earnestly hope this letter finds you well and happy, on this, your birthday.

Enough, CP thought, tucking the short note into an envelope. As she dripped wax from the candle to seal it, she fervently hoped this message would make its way safely into Helen's hands.

The rugged bear moved in for the kill. As he lunged into the seat beside her at the Cheese-Festival Tasting Bar, she couldn't help but find her gaze drawn to the magnificent towering Cheese Fez he wore.

His eyes slid down the front of her dress. She picked them up and returned them to him.

"Thanks, awfully, dollface" he ejaculated in a giddy rush. Her looks and knitted beanie were charming him senseless.

"Say nothing of it" she replied "But I do have a name you know."

"Oh" he said, boggling at her pom-pom, "and what would that be"

"3894.... but you can call me Helen"

"And what brings you here to this orgy of cheesy gourmanditude?"

"Well, it's my Birthday, you see"

"Oh, then in that case..."

"Hippy Pappy Happy Smaffy Laffy Daffy Dingle,
Every time a birthday comes we sing this little jingle,
It can cover birthdays for a multitude or single,
Hippy Pappy Happy Smaffy Laffy Daffy Dingle"

I can't top that, and I'm not even going to try. (Consider that my b-day gift to you!)
