Dresses over Jeans?

I'm confused. But it seems that there is a current trend of wearing little sun dresses over jeans for casual going-out-at-night wear?

Anyone?

If this is true I'll be in 7th heaven ;)

It's true in the Tweener land o'fashion, but I don't know about elsewhere.

Tori gives her fashion blessing.;)

Go Fug Yourself has been pretty consistent in trashing this look for quite a while now (particularly if instead of jeans, leggings are involved).

I don't think I've seen it much in person, but while it seems a little silly to me there are far worse things (uggs).

Thank you Tori! ;)

Leggings are scary. It does seem pretty silly to wear jeans under a dress - but since I'm not a dress gal myself I thought it would be a happy compromise.

Oh well.

Hey, if you like it, do it. Who cares what other people think. I only mentioned it because Go Fug Yourself is the only source of fashion commentary I am regularly exposed to (and they frequently trash things I think look fine).

I generally don't but I am trying to update my wardrobe and don't want to end up with something that is from tweenland and not adultland.

I prefer to wear lacy panties under my dresses. It just helps make me feel all girlie.

Then yeah, you may want to not. My recollection of ragging on Go Fug Yourself is that it is tilted heavily towards teen idols.

Given what we talked about on Saturday, I'd shy away from that trend, if I were you. It's a fad. Any pieces that would be worth buying would have to be really inexpensive and therefore of lesser quality. All in all, if you're not sure now, it's likely going to be an unnecessary money dump that you wear once, maybe twice.

I'm trying to not buy into anything now until I'm finished with school. In the meanwhile, I'm dumping anything that's no longer age appropriate and no longer wears well. And anything else that suits my fancy when I'm in a "clearing out my wardrobe" mood. When I start buying again, I'm going to go for classic numbers that will hopefully not make me look old. Let's cross our fingers on that one.

No no no - say it isn't so. I didn't like the look when I was a kid any better. I saw someone wearing this the other day and just said "why?" Why do you need the jeans? You've got the cute little dress and now you've wrecked it. Or hello - how about a top with those pants instead of a whole 'nother outfit?
