Gallery of Regrettable Food

I had not been to Lileks site in a while, the meat book is enough to turn me into a vegetarian. The art of food presentation has changed a lot over the decades.

Note to GD and CP - avoid the entry at the bottom of the list entitled "the other other white meat."

Wow, you are right, Snowflake. I'm not so hungry for meat. Actually, I'm no longer hungry for anything. These pages could be the basis for an efffective new diet.

This place might have been worth a road trip, except that I'm allergic to exposure to shag carpeting.

Haha!! :D SzczerbiakManiac turned me on to this site back in the day, and I've been grateful ever since. A friend bought me the book ages ago & every now and then, I'll pull it off of my bookshelf & skim through it. It never, ever gets old and never, ever fails to make me howl laughing! :snap:

Great site. Thanks!

I knew the "Regrettable Food" site had been mentioned before.

Well, shut my mouth! Anyway, it's always worth a revist for something new and inedible.

I'm sorry Snowflake - I did not meant that as a negative comment. I just had a recollection.

No worries, I was just slapping myself up the head, I should have known this was old news on LoT!

BTW, where is szerbiacmaniac these days? Hope he's okay

It's one of my favourite sites, actually. I collect old cookbooks featuring a lot of stuff like this. !! :D
