Hail, Wes Anderson!

The filmmaker responsible for two of my favorite films, Rushmore & The Life Aquatic returns with, The Darjeeling Limited.

Wes Anderson for American Express

Can I get a witness?

Yay yay yay yay.

I've certainly be looking forward to it for a while. He's one of three current American directors who are still on my "without question" list. So even if the reviews are universally horrible I'll be there.

Who are the other two, Alex?

I'm super-excited as well. I didn't enjoy Life Acquatic as much, but this one seemed back on track.

He uses Kinks songs! HE USES KINK SONGS!

Checking IMDB, I see that the next item on his docket is a Roald Dahl piece (Fantastic Mr. Fox). Spiffy.

I have yet to dislike a Wes Anderson film. Definitely liked some more than others, but that's entirely a "liked slightly less" sort of ranking as opposed to a "disliked more" thing. (OKay, so it's pretty much Life Aquatic, Rushmore, and Bottle Rocket in a dead heat for favorite, with Royal Tenenbaums trailing),

That commercial is awesome. After Life Aquatic, I'm so on board for the next WA film.
