Shark Week

I'm loving it.

And to continue my sharky mood: Land Shark!

... I'm only a dolphin, ma'am.

No one else? 20 years of Shark Week and *sniff* apparently I'm the only one watching.

Where's my cry frownie?

I don't have cable, otherwise I would be tuning in. I have to rely on others to DVR the best stuff for my later delectation.

I am psyched about this inexpensive box set.

I'm also very excited about the DVD (maybe even home video) debut of the documentary that started it all, Blue Water White Death. I saw this in the theater when I was just six years old, and I remember being pretty frightened, though nowhere near as much so as I would be four years later when Jaws reared its ugly, wonderful head.

The Region 1 release is due out this fall.

That reminds me - I'm trying to determine the legitimacy of www.sharkweekdvd.com

According to J, he saw a commercial for it while watching Shark Week. I never saw the commercial, and there's no link from the Discovery Channel website. It's not the boxed set, from what I can tell, and they seem to want a lot of up-front information not involved with the purchase of the DVD. So, is it legit? Hrmm...

I think I'm going to surprise him with the very inexpensive boxed set. Legit = good.
