A great new word (really new)
 

There's a new word, just coined at Podcamp Pittsburgh, which was held on August 18-19. It's a word that describes email that clutters your inbox but isn't spam. Email from things that you signed up for, but really don't want - like constant email from amazon.com, or myspace, or facebook etc etc

I don't get it. What's the etymology? Why does bacn stand for all that type of email?

Better than spam, but still not good for you? Something you want, but not every day?

Oh. I forgot to post this, didn't I.

But....but....bacon is a good thing! Bacon is meat candy! The best hyphenated phrase ever is "Bacon-wrapped"!

It simply cannot stand for those pesky subscribed emails. :p
