Orange International Street Fair is this weekend!
http://www.orangestreetfair.org/
Oddly, it doesn't seem to have anything on Labor Day itself. I highly recommend checking out The American Wake over on the Irish stage. I caught them last time and liked them so well I bought a CD. No Poxy Boggards this year, but the Merry Wives of Windsor are making an appearance on Saturday. |
CP will be working with the library staff during the day on Friday, and I'm going to hop on my back and join her for dinner there in the evening.

He meant his bike, of course.
I've never been, even though I've worked in Orange for nearly 5 years. Now I get to work the parking lot for 3 hours! :D |
Back?! How the hell did I type "back"?
More importantly, is it possible to hop on one's own back? I'll have to get tickets to Cirque and find out. |

Street fair is fun. Go hungry and thirsty and with lots of small bills. Helps to have a friend with the same tastes as you so you can split lot's of stuff. If you find a place to sit - do not get up! ;) or do and don't plan on sitting again. If you drink beer - get it from the liquor store. MUCH cheaper then your other choices and you'll get an actual beer's worth. Not a cup's worth. yes. you'll still have to pour it into a cup but you'll get more. :) Paying for parking is worth it if you plan on spending all darn day there. You'll be full and tired upon leaving and do you really want to walk several blocks into the neighborhood to get the car? Mmmmm... street faire....

I remember the Street Fair! Going to Chapman, I went to it every year. My favorite memory was finding a cell from "Heavy Metal" in one of the shops during the Fair. I gave it to my friend for Christmas. He was a HM fan. I bought it for $10. :)
