Does anyone really squeeze the Charmin?

Toilet paper is out of control.

The other day I went to Target to buy toilet paper. The only 4-pack of the kind I usually get was partially torn open (eiw), so I was forced to buy a different kind of toilet paper.

I ended up with a 6-pack of Charmin "Mega Rolls"--the package proudly declares that these 6 rolls are equal to 24 regular rolls. Yes, 24.

How lazy have people gotten? Must we have a neverending roll of toilet paper in our homes? In theme park restrooms, I understand. But at home, if the roll runs out, I'll change it. No big deal.

These stupid Mega Rolls even came with a gadget--the "Charmin Extender" (sounds dirty, doesn't it?)--which is supposed to make these ginormous rolls of TP actually fit in my toilet paper holder.

It doesn't. The roll only fits on it crooked, which means about half the roll has to be used up before it'll even fit in my toilet paper holder, even with this magial Charmin Extender. Once half the roll is gone, it'll fit with the normal holder. Duh.

I suppse the Mega Roll is squeezably soft. Perhaps I should donate the remaining 5 rolls to someone who has puppies that could sleep on them?

Hey Target! Keep the regular stuff in stock, will ya?

Are you really complaining about having too much toilet paper, yo?

I like mega rolls. Mega rolls, last mega long and mega me happy.

Our cat Samwise would be in heaven. He loves to unwind tp, and the softer the better. (He ignores the Scott tissue- probably chafes his little paws).

I dig the idea of changing the roll less often. But having to have a crappy extender thing, and then the extender thing doesn't even work? I call shenanigans. I'd never put up with that crap. Email the bastards, MF!!! :D

Do you think that the holders installed in houses will slowly become bigger and bigger to accomodate the change? Like toothbrush holders? The ancient toothbrush holder installed at my parents' house can't hold any modern toothbrushes.

I prefer the Northern double rolls. They fit perfectly in the regular tp holders. I have gotten so used to the double rolls I get irritated by the small rolls (at home only).
