Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo

My brain hurts!
:D |
My favorite bit is how it's a "garden path sentence". I just like the term. It sounds neat. In reality it seems to be shorthand for pain in the patoot.
|
I find it helpful to think of it this way: The Buffalo-born buffalo whom other Buffalo-born buffalo do ocassionally buffalo sometimes buffalo other Buffalo-born buffalo.
Of course, it can be expanded: The Buffalo-born buffalo whom other Buffalo-born buffalo do ocassionally buffalo sometimes buffalo other Buffalo-born buffalo that other Buffalo-born Buffalo do buffalo. To wit - Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo! I think I first heard this in AP English class way back when. |

Okay, that was seriously geek cool.
That's better than "that that is is that that is not is not is it it is" (which is not grammatically correct, and adding the correct grammar explains too much, "That that is, is. That that is not, is not. Is it? It is.") |
