Halloween Haunt 2007

Well, last night (September 30) was ACE Night at Knott's Halloween Haunt.

What does that mean? A buffet line put to it's very limits, lots of screaming, and enough boysenberry punch to fill Lake Mead- and that's BEFORE we got in the park.

I've got some pics online here.
I wasn't using my usual camera, so I didn't get too many good pics - besides, I was having such a blast, I just wanted to enjoy it.

Amazingly, I've regained feeling in my lower extremities after the most truly terrifying ride aboard the Log Ride - 5 full size (and then some) adults, dense packed into one log. We were sure they would have to break out the jaws of life to get us out at the end. Bornieo got the onride pic, and it's a sight to behold.

Knott's were great hosts, the waitress at our particular table was really kickass. We got free shirts, souvenir bottles (with free refills later), and a neat walkthrough of the 13 Axe Manor Maze before the event started. It was especially neat seeing the bungee dude warming up- awesome gig.

We got to see some really good scares from the clowns - two with chainsaws kept "pinning" people between them, and scaring the hell out of them.

I'll probably have more to say when my brain wraps around it a bit more.

I love Halloween :)

So what's up with the tagline, "Year of a Million Screams" - - and in what ways did they satirize Disney this year?

If you're planning on going this year, The Doll House is a great maze. Very creepy. Goth Creepy.
I had a wonderful time.
Got to bed at 1:45am or so...
Very tired today.

Thank you to CoasterMatt for a wonderful time again this year. :)

Last night was alot of fun. Best time at Knott's ever! And this time no Boob grabs.

Here's out trip on the Log Ride. 5 people in the log. Eek!

Awesome time indeed. One of the highlights of the night, a full demonstration of the doppler effect:

Imagine if you will, just leaving the terrifying haunt that is the new Doll House maze. Group reassembling after a good scare. In the distance, many screams, as per the rigor of such an event. However, one particularly violent and child-like pierces through the darkness. Approaching, one child, about 10 maybe - running at full break-neck speed. Behind him, a tall monster growling and also running at an impressive clip. Then the screams fade away into the machine-generated fog. The entire crowd turned to watch in silence, then broke into laughter.

It was awesomely amusing.

The only satire I can recall was during the Hanging when the said DCA was now a prison because that's the only way they can get anyone to go there. Supposedly the Hanging took place in the future. It got a nice laugh.

"Hermionie, I can see your golden snitch." Was a great line during the hanging.

And can I just say that many in the cast of this year's hanging were hung... and not in the noose kind of way. ie. There was a 300 parody. They were very specific about casting hot bodied males this year. ;)
