How DO you get the great fireworks shots? I'm using a Canon point n shoot 10 megapixel that has a fireworks setting and all my photos were sh!t!

First off, thank you very much for the kind words.

Last night I wasn't even using my own usual camera (it's sadly seen it's last days), but a loaner from Rose.

It's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 - 5 megapixel point and shoot.

I make sure to keep the shutter button half depressed, then fully press it about a second before the explosion.
