Deborah Kerr - Rhymes with Star

RIP

I think very underrated I think. Wonderful in Black Narcissus, Life & Death of Colnel Blimp, From Here to Eternity and luminous in Affair to Remember and The King and I (even with Marni Nixon's voice).

Story Here

Wow, I so strongly associate her with Cary Grant (rightly or wrongly, wrongly I'm sure) that I think my brain decided that since he is dead she must be dead too.

The world loses another great lady.

Oh, and I just mentinoed her in the scary movie thread. I've adored her in everything I've seen her in. Think I'll break out Black Narcissus tonight in her honor.

Not many classic actresses left, are there? Both "Affair" and "Eternity" are wonderful films (I have a soft spot for "King" as well). She was quite a varied actress. RIP.

Well, many here on LoT may not know this but not only was she famous for her name rhyming with Star, but also with Car, Bar, Far & Burr.

Suffice to say, vaudeville is now truly gone.
