A0-H3ll

Damn those cats are good, they have quite the business plan when it comes to doing as much as possible to keep people from ending their free trial. Just talked with a cat that responded to everything I had to say in a very positive upbeat demeanor. Makes it hard to say, look man just shut off the damn account, I got my free month, and its not worth my cash to use your service. All I want is a portal to the net man. But those cats just keep up the game, and continue the free month for a second month, and when that wasn't enough to satisfy a geek such as I they even added a third free month if I choose to stay with A0-H3ll and pay for the 3rd month after the second free month is over. Not likely going to happen that I am going to do that, as I am not a fan of A0-H3ll and would rather not have their software installed on my computer. I'm a geek dammit, it just feels wrong to have that stuff in my box. ::shudder:: But I do give the man props for hireing such upbeat cats to keep the members as members. That cat had some mad skillz when it came to selling, he could make a fortune if he went out on his own. But I got a new ISP now, and A0-H3ll is going to be removed from my computer, it was nice to use them as a means to find a new ISP, but their time is up. Let the exorcism begin.

Oh, I can't even begin to tell you about how hard it was for me to work out leaving them, and I was with them for years!!! I never knew how good it could be!!

They really stick it to people... I hope the exorcism goes well..

Yeah, good luck with the exorcism. A friend just went through that and it seems that removing AOL caused his system to become quite unstable. I'm not sure if my friend just answered something incorrectly about removing shared items or what, but he couldn't get anything to work until he re-installed his OS.

And yeah, I remember going through the same thing with AOL when I decided to switch. They made it awfully hard to say no, just by being so nice, even though I knew what a picee of crap their software was. They do their job well.

well, never sure, but the software is off my computer, at least the large parts of it, haven't the time to get the little remnants that always hang around, but those shouldn't cause too many issues, and if they do, well, it may be about time for a fresh install soon anyway. :)

Let me have my joy for at least 5 minutes dammit :)

Lol! Sorry- I just have AIM, and when I tried to uninstall the bastard, I finally had to give up. The other day, I was perusing files, etc, and there was AOL crap all over the place.
