Please Let Me Shoot You!

;)

Ok, folks. I want an AWESOME and diverse demo reel. So, I need footage besides weddings, and the few show/commercial bits I have.

MBC - let's schedule a night for your band soon. I'm going to put it on my calendar.

Goonie, let me know A's hockey schedule so I can get some footage of him.

Anyone else - please let me know if you have something you think will be interesting to shoot.

The categories I'm looking for:

Sports (including hobbyist/family sports - does not have to be a pro team)
Training
Non-profit organizations
Products
Cooking/How-to
Interviews/Reviews (know a restaurant or business owner who needs/wants a 30-60 second commercial?)

I am willing to do it for free (up to 4 hours of shoot time), as long as there is no expense to me, other than tape stock. Cover charges, admissions, excessive mileage must be paid (anything outside Orange or LA counties), but most places will "door list" me if you ask. I'll even provide the final edited product on a single DVD, also free of charge. Any web-based business or group will get a compressed copy for upload to their website as well.

The catch - I'm working on my own deadline and criteria, meaning that I am putting the footage into my demo reels first, and then the final product will be delivered, with no changes and no contract - the project is entirely left to my creative judgement. Also, I have full rights to use the footage for unlimited promotional use (but, I will not sell it), a reference for my resume, and a testimonial if they like it. But, no one can complain since it's free, and services like this would normally cost $5,000+ from most LA-based firms.

Feel free to post here or PM me. I'm really looking for anyone who's ready to do this in the next couple weeks, and I reserve the right to decline any project if it doesn't fit the scope of what I'm looking for. :)

Got a few things/ideas. Call me when you get a chance (but not tonight b/c I'm meeting with a client)

Dang it! Had I known about it earlier, I would have had you come to my campus to shoot my big giant Honda event on Monday. Not to mention, we shot four commercials on limited student time... we were able to use outside resources, but didn't have anyone else available for free, since we'd devoted a good portion of our finances toward key ad times. Dang it!

I'll throw some feelers out there if there are students working on anything big, or any of the orgs and their events, if you're at all interested in coming over to Long Beach for it. Unfortunately for the students, however, most people....

Wait, I might need you, if you wouldn't mind me using the footage for a class. I'm doing a case study on a DVD release and we'd talked about creating either a short infomercial or commercial for it - would you be interested if I could chat up my groupmates on it? The film we're doing is Arctic Tale and it's just for a class. I'm not sure if doing something with a mention of an actual intellectual property for your reel is kosher, even if it's a spec commercial - so... hrmmm...

Wanna shoot me posting on the LoT?

Maddy's playing Polo on Friday morning. I think at around 9:30 but it is in San Deigo, north county but still San Diego.

She's also in a acapella girls choir. They're doing a couple of performances the first week or so of November.

Now there's some exciting footage!

We did a photo shoot recently which has been turned into several ads and a brochure. If a photo shoot could be exciting, think how exciting a filming could be? We're pretty active when we've got 5 or 6 dogs out with us.

I guess it was the "sitting" part I was thinking of.

Which, in retrospect, I doubt there is much of at all.
