Ugh, I would have totally gone to the Christian Baleathon, if i'd read this before, ya know, now.

Hmmmm, just watched Empire of the Sun, which I hated in theaters, but decided to give a second chance because of my CE3K-induced Spielberg-revisiting. It was a lot better than I recalled, and Christian Bale's introductory performance as a 12-year-old lead-actor was amazing.

I would have totally dug seeing him in person last weekend. Bah. Plus, I really wanted to catch 3:10 to Yuma. Fine and double fine.

Damn - the "presidents" are preventing me from going tonight. Damn it all.

I hope to hear about it, though. :(

Great documentary! Nobody from Pixar was present, but the Charles Solomon moderated discussion with Leslie Iwerks and Roy Disney was a nice capper. It's a shame that there's little chance that this (or any other documentary, for that matter) will get any kind of real theatrical distribution. I look forward to the DVD release - which will hopefully include at least a portion of the 300 hours of footage that Iwerks left on the cutting room floor.

I agree with MP, it was wonderful!

A nice perk......we sat directly behind Alice Davis, Richard Sherman, Roy Disney and Frank Thomas' son along with a few Iwerks family members.
