Zuda Online Comics

Yes, you look away because it's got "Comics" in the title - well, shame on you!

So Zuda is a new experiment by DC Comics. They are taking green creators and put them up on the site in a compatition to find the best online comic. If you sign up you can vote for your favorite and they get a contract to produce the book for a year. Think of it as American Idol for comics.

That aside, there is some fantastic works up. Granted non are mine, but I know one is a MC'er and is now in 1st place because of a post on the MC board. B. S!

I hope you all will check this out. Read some great talented artist and writers and come to a conclusion. Eventually I hope to be part of the compitiion as it is a monthy award.

Comics are constantly competing with one another. To "win" they rely on innovation, productivity, dedication, creativity and skill. Here at Zuda we recognize that we have a unique opportunity as the publisher to collaborate with the creators and the community in a way never before possible. In this section, we're inviting you to take an active role in the editorial process - join in discussions, rate the comics according to your beliefs and vote on your favorite. Come back often to see how the competition is progressing. At the end of the month, based on your decisions, one comic will become a new ongoing series

Araknid Kid gets my vote!

Yeah, that got my vote too. Also, really liked "Crooked Man." Has some really nice artwork worthy of publication.

Anyone else check it out?

I think this is my fav this month - A Spelunker's Guide to the City... Very bizzare tale.

Quote:

Macbeth, MacHeath, Mabuse, Moriarty, Fu Manchu and Dr. Moreau, all these evil M's have had their turn. It's a new day in Null City and it belongs to Odile Moiré. In some stories he is the driving force, in others a bit player. Sometimes he is only referenced; an ominous warning, tagged on a wall. No one can put a face to the name, but the dread is real and overpowering.
The rules governing Null are vague - reality is malleable. Night follows day, but beyond that all bets are off.
Nicolas Restif is known on the streets as Taildragger. Like the wolf in the blues lyric he drags his tail to cover his tracks. He’s the Backdoor Man. Need a go-to in Null or a guide on an urban safari? TD is your man.
The Spelunker stories are a collision of style and genre. In Null City is surrealism as a way of life.

That is what I like- very surreal, indeed.
