Big 50th scoop...

OK, so I just got a call from my mom, who was at a party this weekend with someone who is doing some work for Disney (sorry for being so cryptic, but I'm pretty sure that this is not ready for the public yet). He tells her that he's creating something special for (get ready for it) "the 2000 special guests for Disneyland's 50th Anniversary."

No ticket announcement yet at disneygallery.com

my stomach hurts.

Ghoulish Delight 03-07-2005 08:51 PM

Yeah, well, color me NOT surprised if they announce and exclusive pay through the nose experience.

2000 huh? Anyone recall attendance numbers for any of the nightmare or other merchandise events?

2000 Specail Guests is NOTHING! I'm amazed unless it's press.

It's probably movie people, or present and past Disney talent, etc. Or it could be a big shindig for the sharp pencil boys!

2000 huh?

Wow, Eisner's got a huge family.

not surprised at all... remember the haunted mansion special events, when you got to eat dinner in the dining room of the ride? for some exorborant amount of money?

Yeah, I think it was 2 grand for that.

I'm not jumping to any conclusions. Perhaps a ton of Disney icons. 2000 seems like a rather arbitrary large number, though. Doesn't have much to do with "50".

Ghoulish Delight 03-08-2005 11:05 AM

It's divisible by 50.

BarTopDancer 03-08-2005 12:19 PM

Perhaps it's 2000 people who were there on opening day? Or for the 2000 memebers of the media who supposedly will be at the park on 5/4 (the day DL closes to the general public).

I'm not concerned about the actual park closing on the actual bday. They'd have a riot on their hands.
