Calling all Browncoats
Seeing as we've hijacked sweet CP's thread, and not wanting to ruffle any feathers or get shoved out an airlock, let's have us our own thread for Browncoat roll-call and news of the verse.
(And if you don't know what a Browncoat is or haven't yet been introduced to the world of Firefly or Serenity, then get yourself over to Netflix or just go buy the DVDs 'cuz there's no doubt in my mind you'll get hooked on it.) |
I love that gorram 'verse.
And all Whedonverse shows, actually. I'm excited for Dollhouse next year. |
Mmm, big stupid hunky Jayne. How I love that moron. Heh.
Very happy that so many of their careers are on the up and up. Unlike the Buffy crew. Aside from A.H., fizzle! And D.B. seems the only real survivor from Angel. |
<-- Full-on Whedon fan here, which is actually how I came about Firefly and Serenity.
I should try and pick up some DVDs... I haven't watched it since the show was (briefly) on the air oh so many years ago... |
So, has word fizzled that there was going be a second movie?
I loved me that Firefly. Amazing first season. And since you look back at the first season or two of most shows you love and go 'WTF??' - it's even more amazing that the show was that good from the get-go .... and so sad that it would have inevitably gotten much, much better. |
And it wasn't even a full season. I'll never quite forgive Fox for airing the intial episodes out of order because they didn't think the pilot episode was exciting enough.
And it was a GREAT first episode. Bastards. Heh. |
I need to watch these episodes again. We have seen a few episodes, but out of order, and anytime they repeat 'em, it seems they repeat the same two.
Hot women who can kick butt. What's not to love? :) |
Love Firefox but not much of a Whedon fan otherwise.
I haven't ever heard anything solid about a second movie but I certainly wouldn't mind. |
Reporting for duty, Captain Tightpants sir!
|
I really like that Whedon is comfortable using the medium of comics to continue his cancelled TV shows. He bridged the span between Firefly and Serenity with "Those Left Behind." Lately, I've been enjoying Buffy: Season Eight.
