Not necessarily. I know people, ostensibly adults, who think themselves snarky and clever, and I could easily imagine them concocting such a note. (I hang out with a lot of actors, and their median mentality hovers around age 12. I'm not excluding myself from this demographic, by the way.)

I loved the lady's comment about the little lines emanating from the word Jesus, and how no adult would waste time doing such a thing. I routinely add such flourishes to hand-written notes myself. But, as indicated above, I'm not very mature.

That last cut to "Jesus" with her quietly repeated "it wasn't..." made an excellent ironic ending.

Well noted. I have been known to add flourishes myself. Besides, if an adult wanted to make it look like it was children to through the lady off the track it would be simple enough. I'm surprised the note was hand written and not little letters pasted from magazines. ;)
