Coincidence or divine design?

Okay, it's things like this that really have to make you stop and wonder.

Israeli scinetists were studying a plant that's known to be particularly hearty in the Israeli desert, with the ability to go dormant for years, revived when rain finally comes. What did they discover? That the cells in the plant's roots are arranged in the shape of a perfect Star of David. They're even blue for crying out loud! Weird.

I've always been a fan of Allah's sly sense of humor.

God fractals!

Man, I don't know Greg. I'm just a natural born skeptic, I guess, but it is pretty interesting whatever the truth may be.

As am I, and it's not like this is some amazing proof of anything for me. But damn, that's pretty out there.

Let's cut to the chase, has the Face on Mars released a statement, yet?

Ok, coincidence or design...whatever it is, it's pretty frickin' cool!

I need to see a larger photograph. It looks to me like just beyond the frame, the "edges" of the star simply continue on to be their own circles. If that is the case, then there is simply a pattern of circles which, if framed correctly (frame the center one and cut off the others) and tipped a little to the side, can be interpreted as a Star of David. I want to see the rest of the image.

However, even if the pattern in that photo is really the whole thing, I'm not too overwhelmed. It's really just six semi-circles surrounding a circle. A real star of David would be two triangles made up of straight edges. That would be much more astonishing. This, at best, would fit into the "it's there if you want to see it" category.

Okay, I guess I've shown my mega-skeptic stripes. (I hope no one hates me now.)

No hatred here :) but I do contest what you say.

"We have never before seen a structure like this in the cell walls of plants," she says. "This is a very rare structure - maybe even unique."
As for whether it's "just circles", if you look at the bottom-left of the pic you can see the next star of David showing. This is definitely a star of David pattern, as interlocking circles with triangles in between arranged like that are a star of David pattern.

I'm f***ing amazed, myself, and I think in my mind it's more "evidence" that there's always more at work than you think. Just my own belief, I won't defend it in the face of reason. ;)

I think it's amazing. Thanks, GD!

I do think the cropping of the photo does help with the effect. Still, it is an interesting "coincidence"? :)
