Safari for Windows

As I was updating iTunes I was offered a download of Safari for Windows. Has anyone here actually used Safari for Windows? I already use FireFox, I'm not opposed to trying to Safari for Windows if it's going to emulate Safari for Mac.

On a side note, it's interesting watching Mac integrate more of their products into the PC realm.

I have a Mac and don't use Safari, preferring Firefox.

Any technical reason, or just personal preference?

Not Afraid 04-09-2008 06:19 PM

Safari doesn't have spell check. I think that was my main reason. I don't really remember anymore.

Thanks. Spell check is a huge perk to FF.

Yes it does - has had for a while.

Edit > Spelling and Grammar: make sure that "Check Spelling While Typing" is checked.

Oh. Well, they snoozed and lost. Firefox is my preference at the moment. I don't like switching about.

It has had some bad press....

I've tried it for windows. I did not find anything interesting about it. I removed it.

Bleh. Thanks Moonie.

The update for iTunes also rendered scrobbing on Last.FM unusable for now.

I have a Mac and prefer Firefox also because I can block ads on the pages as well as pop-ups with it. Safari only let me block pop-ups.
