The Scene
My friend and I went to see the SDNHM presentation of Pompei artifacts. This time around we purchased tickets ahead of time for the 1pm showing.

The exhibit was well done. Artifacts were on display from homes and businesses in Pompei. There were two audio options for several displays. One for adults and one for "family" aka children.

A warning if you are thinking of bringing children. The final room was a bit disturbing, they had the fossilized ash that entombed the bodies. There were people and animals. I was bothered by it (mostly by the animals), and walked through it without paying attention to the displays. We skipped the movie because we've seen the Pompei documentary on Discovery.

Overall it was an educational and interesting display. If you have time, go see it.
