Selling the old wheels

and not buying new. I do not really need them in the city and can rent for in town or out of town trips. So, I am considering selling my car. As you already know, I lobbed a bunch of $$ into the car for repairs last year while I was commuting. I know I wont make that back, the car is too old with too much mileage on it. If I get 3k for it, it would be a miracle.

So.....the car is in very nice shape, cosmeticwise, almost no dings, inside is nice.

I do know I need to put new brake pads on the thing. What else should I do before selling it? I'm not going to make mega bucks selling it, how much more $$ should I put into before selling?

Should I just ist it on Craigslist? Any advice for a novice used car salesperson?

Snowflake,

Go to the Kelly Blue book site, and plug in your car's details so you can get an idea of the market value of the car. Craigslist is always a good one to try, the price is right.

Also, never have the person meet you at your house. If someone wants to see it/test drive it, meet them in a neutral location with a lot of people around (parking lot for the local supermarket or mall).

If I want to sell some furniture should I bring it to a neutral location as well, or is there something about cars that invite criminal activity?

No: with furniture, you need to meet at a pizza parlor. I don't know why that it, is just is.

By strange coincidence, while Snowflake goes to no car .... I'm going to Two.

Is this some kind of Karmic Balance?

Or ... heheh, Carmic Balance?

We named one of our chameleons Karma; does that tie in somehow?

Karma Chameleon?! I don't know if it fits in, but it's an aWeSoME name!
