The U.S. House of Representatives has declared Tuesday, May 13, 2008 as "Frank Sinatra Day."

Sigh. Our tax dollars at work. They don't have the time to find solutions to things like rising gas prices, but time to tell us how great Sinatra was (we already know that).

Yeah it is stupid but they do such things pretty much several times a day and it isn't like it takes up any real time.

I bet if they added up all the time they take in a year for these kind of things, they could do something important with it.

Think of all the time they'd spend adding up all the time that they spend doing things like this :D

From the article:2,000 songs! Really? Frank made that many recordings? And, out of curiosity, I wonder how many of those songs were from Serrano's own CDs and legal downloads.

Just to be sure: did everyone notice what date they declared the day and what date FS Day was?

The official day was declared a week AFTER Frank's Day.

I did. And I thought it was funny.
