Quelle insolence! Paris has been the fashion capital of the world for centuries. St. Laurent was one of the brightest manifestations of the glory that is French chic.

All I know about Yves Saint Laurent I learned from doing the New York Times crossword puzzle every day.

Which is to say nothing except that "Yves" and "YSL" have gotten many a constructor out of a jam. And, coincidentally, he is in today's puzzle.

YSl Exhibit in San Francisco De Young November 2008

Last night I was reading the rag for the De Young & Palace of Fine Arts and inside, found to my delight, a blurb for an upcoming YSL exhibit. 125 pieces. I'm so there!
