Babbling Away
Misfiring synapses push/pull my thoughts
through my brain like a bullet train Said something did I out loud? Lips aren't moving but I'm thinking of sound The thoughts are really clear, muddled somewhere between the brain and the larynx can't seem to properly move the air Herky jerky no proper sentence structure cromagnon dude would be proud There's a baby in a stroller just as happy as me Baby's just babbling just like me Something's really right there Happy thoughts here get stuck on the way But my smile speaks volumes more than any words anyway I'm just babbling, babbling, babbling away :) |

I have several clients who had strokes who sort of described their early attempts to speak as you do here- their brains could form the thought clearly, but somewhere between thought and articulation there was a disconnect. Incredibly frustrating, but at the same time it made them appreciate the way things are supposed to work together in a whole new way. I like the baby/smile part especially.:) |
Very nice !! We're getting a lot of talent in our group now, aren't we ? :snap:
