Sweet Evil
Today, my grief therapist told me about something wonderful, yet evil, and I just had to share:
http://www.sprinklescupcakes.com/index.html So much for my eating healthier!! Cupcakes are my absolute weakness. Has anyone tried these yet? |
Oh my yes. And they're every bit as good as they sound, if not better.
errrr, I mean, umm, they're foul, horrible tasting things and you're better off never touching them. yeah. |
Yes, and a few other of the specialty cupcake places that have popped up over the last year.
They're good. They are not, however, worth north of $4 a piece. Not even close. |
I never went to any grief counseling when my dad died. If eating cupcakes is their idea of helping process the loss, I guess I am glad I skipped it! I was in such bad shape back then, I'd have likely eaten all the cupcakes and the building, too.

They look yummy, sinfully rich but still yummy!

Vendors bring them in to our Operations team during the holiday season. Since I am the lone IT person in the state, they keep me well informed of vendor goodies.

Wow! I can't believe we've known each other this long and you're only getting intimate wtih Sprinkles now!
I've been pimping them for years. I'm making a short film about them. They've even been at every party we've ever hosted! Oh, except for the recent dramatic reading party, as we opted for the ever-thematic bananas brulee. Anyway, I'm similarly fond of cupcakes in general, and these are my ultimate favorites. I'm only allowed about one a season (and a couple around my birthday.) They're all tasty, but the simple vanilla is my personal weakness. I am not sure whether to curse or to worship Wes Craven, who sends them to our office every Christmas (it was how I was introduced.) I'm glad you've found them! They are a lovely treat. |
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the link, Disneyphile! I'm so sending a dozen to my daughter in college this fall.

I'm all for a good cupcake. However, good or bad, I can't support the trend of cupcakes replacing birthday cake at kids' parties. I don't eat the stuff (unless it's my own kids' parties), but the spectacle of a lit cake being brought out, then sliced, passed out and shared should be preserved.
