Car Alarms
 

Quiet and Still the neighborhood was at slumber
a fair breeze blew
out of the West
carrying a lone leaf
sans its lumber
towards a innocent car
on a hill crest

ALARM
ALARM
BEEP
BEEP
BEEP

Horn blowing
lights blinking
siren blaring

neighbors one by one
windows out they stare
looking not for a crook
but the owner of all the blare

Thieves are not twarted
by the obnoxious beeper
the auto would be protected better
by a whisper hooked up to a speaker
saying as quiet as the tick of a clock
psssst.......hey buddy, I am working this block.
