He lived well beyond expectations, no doubt in part due to his great attitude.

This was the most amazing person I have read about. I'm currenting reading the book "The Last Lecture". Its all about living your dreams with a few simple rules.
|
I loved the book and I was sad to see that he passed away.
|
Even though I knew he didn't want anyone to be sad over his death, I still am. What a neat guy. The world needs people like him- I hope is legacy is to inspire just that.

Two things:
1. I didn't know his lecture became a book so now I've added it to my Amazon list and will definitely purchase it the first chance I can. 2. I hadn't seen his lecture all the way through before yesterday. That was the most awesome lecture I have ever heard. It was fun, meaningful, and voery worthwhile to watch. Considering what I have ben through in my life I have a similar view as his but he takes it to next level. At this stage in my life I needed to hear his lecture because I really am at a crossroads and I need to get off my arse and choose which path I want to take before the roads get blocked by tight brick walls. What an awesome man. I know his legacy will live on through all the people he has touched with his message, and especially through his children. |
If you stick with the lecture until the very, very end, he actually comes back out and delivers one more shorter lecture, titled, Her Majesty.

I'm interested to know what involvement Randy Pausch had with Walt Disney Imagineering, whose T shirt he wears throughout his lecture. I have only found reference to him being a consultant, but nothing more specific. Anyway, I dig. |
