Obama VP: Joe Biden

ANNOUNCED: JOE BIDEN

innerSpaceman 08-23-2008 07:53 AM

Um, we have an Obama thread.

Kevy Baby 08-23-2008 04:49 PM

Maybe, but we don't have a "Obama chooses Biden as his veep running mate" thread.

Interesting choice.
We'll see if it pays off for him.
Is anyone in the media wondering about McCain's choice? Doesn't seem like it. :D Maybe that frenzy is coming up next.

scaeagles 08-23-2008 08:13 PM

McCain didn't gack a pseudo debate at a church and therefore doesn't need a story to deflect attention away from his butt getting kicked. :)

Obama's butt wasn't kicked, Scaeagles- not by a long shot. McCain's bemoaning his infidelity and desertion of his family for the rich chick doesn't cancel it out, and I'm amazed that the 'family values' party is so willing to overlook that particular character flaw.

I liked Biden's speech. He adds a little fire to Obama's campaign, and I think we all need to get fired up.

WB, it is almost universally accepted, even among the left, that Obama lost and lost handily....even to the point there was whining that McCain must have cheated. I'm sure there are those that don't think so, and that's cool.

This "pseudo debate" is the one where both candidates chatted with the minister separately? How do you lose a chat? I pay as much attention to the news as anyone, but not FOX, and not talk radio, and your post is the first time I've seen any description of that event as a debate and of Obama having lost.

But, okay, I'll bite that Walnuts was a more convincing panderer to the religious right. I'm still unaware how this is in the news cycle and has to be deflected from.

innerSpaceman 08-24-2008 08:53 AM

And you see how much this thread is about Obama's vice-president choice.

Um, can we merge, please?

scaeagles 08-24-2008 10:40 AM

I don't even see a point in merging....I think this one should just die.
