Cheap motels in Orange County?
Relatives are coming in from out of town and need a place to stay. They'll be here for about a week.
Price is the main concern. They want the cheapest rooms available. Are all the cheap motels gone? I used to see ads in the Register for motels with rooms for about $100 or so a week. I couldn't find any the last time I looked. Again, price is the only concern. They only need it for sleeping. |
There are Motel 6's and Super 8s all around.
Did you try Priceline, Travelocity and Expedia? If price is truly the only concern then Priceline would be your best bet. |
We stayed at the Motel 6 recently, pretty inexpensive {and better if you do like BtD says and bid on it, I think we paid, ah, $69? Maybe $65? Maybe that will help you in your bidding?}
Also, I just booked the Knotts' Berry Farm hotel with a super saver rate of $59 for a night in November. They do add $10 for parking, though. If they want to share a suite, the Homewood Suites might work, splitting the cost. And, they would get breakfast and dinner some evenings. I haven't seen $100 a week since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I rented an apartment for a week for $500 in WA a couple of years ago, and that was off season. And maybe only 5 nights. Good luck to them, and, suggest the Anaheim Visitors Bureau. |
Where are the prostitutes hanging out these days? I bet there are cheap motels in that area. ;)

Try doing a search for anaheim weekly motel and making some calls.

Prior to opening this thread I was gambling with myself on how many posts it would take before it went there.
Kevy was not online at the time so I guessed four. |
I've been searchig online this week for rooms in the area too. Seems Priceline has rooms in the Anaheim/ Buena Park area for around $49 a night - the reviews are not too glamourous though. I might be trying the Good Night Inn off of Orangethorpe, which has fairly good reviews and averages $45 a night.

The best was in the meat-packing district (yes yes) in Manhattan in the mid-90s when we'd go clubbing at The Tunnel (yes yes) and leave the club somewhere between 10am and noon the next day. Hookers out in full force, with their pimps, complete with excessive gold chains and medallions.
Two of them in HIGH high heels walking along asking cars if they wanted to procure their services, when a third one comes sprinting up the street screaming in her new york accent, "Quick! Get in the van! The cops are comin!" All three start sprinting up the street immediately (how does one sprint in heels? They did.), hop into a van and slam the door shut, just as the cop car comes whizzing by. Oh, good times. |
