NFL 08-09

So....not that I participate in one, but how many people in Fantasy Leagues do you suppose are screweed by Tom Brady being out for the season? That is such a huge loss for the Pats.

Indy looked bad yesterday. Manning is seriously out of shape coming back off his knee surgery.

Pittsburgh looked great, but I wouldn't get too excited about Philly yet....St. Louis sucks.

I realize to many football means the end of baseball....to me, it means the end to no worthwhile spors on TV.

To me, it means it's almost time for hockey!

Okay, okay, I confess. I doomed Tom Brady. I drafted him. I blew his knee out. Me.

I have a guy at my office who blames himself, too.

I like football, and I'm also looking forward to hockey season.

Really sad about Brady. I don't do fantasy football but I bet he was on a lot of lists and now he's out the whole season.

I find it incredibly sad that he's out for the season. But a torn ACL is a torn ACL.

But, I must admit that the Dallas Cowboys seem like they're in good shape this year. Romo's cut chin and all.
:)

Try as I might, I just can't get excited about the NFL anymore. The Cardinals are pretty painful to watch, and our childhood teams, the 49ers and the Raiders, just suck. Mr. Swanie is in a fantasy football league, so he watches out for his players but that's about it. It has simply become background noise in our house on Sunday afternoons.

Now, the new NFL season means that the College Football is here! Where I can't watch the pros...I can watch ANY college game, ANY day of the week. I love me my college game, and it looks like a good start for our Trojans.

Fight ON!
:D

Watching the Raiders lose, especially to Denver, never ceases to be satisfying.

alphabassettgrrl 09-08-2008 10:26 PM

Denver's my back-up team if my Vikings lose.

Lauragar 09-11-2008 01:17 PM

I just love watching football, but I'm a girl without a team. I was with San Diego because of Seau. Then I liked Pittsburg because of Cowher. I'm just lost. But I will root for any team playing against for Radiers (fadiers).
