Though apparently, in this instance, it is not because he represents evil western culture. According to the sheikh, all mice are "impure" and must be killed, be they real mice in your home or cartoon mice.

He says Jerry of Tom and Jerry has to go as well.

So, the question is...

Would they stone Minnie to death for being a woman wearing bloomers, or for being a mouse?
