Favorite iPhone Apps that rock your world

Those of us that use the iPhone have been discussing and sharing which of the thousands of apps for the iPhone are must haves. With the number of iPhone users growing on LoT, I think we need more public sharing. So, what are the iPhone apps that you love?

My current top 3 - Twitteriffic, Urban Spoon and AOL Radio.

Twitteriffic is an easy way to twitter from your iPhone and using it in conjunction with twitpix, lets you take and post pictures in twitter in one easy step.

Urban Spoon is a fantastic (and fun) restaurant finder. Shake your iPhone and the Urbanspoon slot machine will pick a good restaurant for you to try. Keep shaking until you find a restaurant that appeals to you or lock in any or all of the three categories to narrow the choices.

AOL Radio has hundreds of great radio programs to listen to from your iPhone including NPR, KCRW Music, several Bollywood stations, a Brazilian station and many many more. You never need to be without great music.

All three of these programs are free!

My favorite frivilous program is called Theriminator and it is a Theramin for your iPhone. Never be without creepy horror films sounds in your life again.

There's also this app that mousepod put on his iPhone. You can hum or sing into your phone and it will identify what song it is. Perfect for people who can't remember song titles.

I can attest that Urban Spoon is way cool! NA showed that to me last night and I was very amused and impressed.

It's called "midomi," and it's super fun. I also love "Simplify" - I can use my iPhone (or any computer) to access my entire iTunes library. Along the Urbanspoon lines, I also dig "Movies", which uses GPS to find movies playing nearby... and includes trailers.

Showtimes- It gives me all the current movies at every theatre near my zip code, including our State Theater for Indie films.
Bike Gears-for figuring out gear ratios for my fixed gear bike and skid length.
Twitterific is great too.

From Twitter, I found out that there is currently a turn-by-turn GPS directions app available now for the iPhone.

Lots of those mentioned already please here's some other favourites of mine:

#1 - Appsniper - this tells you all the apps that have been discounted or made free each day. really handy for cheapoes like me. It also allows you to keep an eye on an App you want, and will inform you when it's discounted or made free. I have saved a BUNDLE with this one.

#2 - SplitTheBill - is a really easy bill splitter / tip calculator. It's really good for when the bill needs to be split unevenly (ie not everyone had desserts or shared the bottle of wine etc)

#3 - for those entertainers among us (who isn't) iDinnerParty is a great way to get organised. It keeps track of invitations, menu planning etc.

#4 - Because I'm trying to remember to bring so much stuff over the the USA with me for various people, I find Gift Planner to be very good as well. It helps budgeting as well as remembering what's bought for whom.

For those looking for this on the iTunes Store, it's spelled Thereminator :D
