There's a reason it took him so long to win an Oscar: He got better as he got older, which we should all aspire to. A good and generous man. |

OMG, I guess I didn't know he had cancer but I am shocked. He did a lot of good things in his lifetime and will be sorely missed by many. |

Oh wow. How terrible! A good man and a great actor! :( |

Oh, this hits me with such sadness. What a GREAT. And yes, I like his "older" roles better than his sassy younger ones. Ah, that's wonderful inspiration to me as I head into that territory. Noooooo, Paul :( |

Heck, I even like his early stuff. A class act, this guy. And he makes some damn good spaghetti sauce. (Goes to kitchen to open a jar of Sockarooni Sauce.) Another good one gone. |

Nooooooo.... this makes me deeply saddened. RIP Paul Newman, you certainly enriched my life. |

Wow... this is terrible. I had just shown some younger coworkers "Cool Hand Luke" for the first time last week, and they said it was better than any recent movie they'd seen. |

I was just talking the other day that I had heard he wasn't well. I agree, he really was a class act and it's quite a loss. I will continue to buy his company's products because they taste great and the profits go to support charity. I hope it carries on in the spirit it was created. |
