Ridemax

Thanks to TiVo's wishlist, we caught a WSJ program that featured something I never heard of: RideMax.

Quote:

RideMax is a computer software program guaranteed to help you save time waiting in line at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

RideMax allows you to specify the attractions you wish to ride during your visit, then uses a sophisticated scheduling algorithm to order your attractions so that the amount of time you spend in line is minimized.

Using historical wait time statistics for each attraction as a foundation, RideMax analyzes millions of different ride sequences in order to create a minimum-wait-time itinerary. This schedule is tailored to the expected crowd patterns on the day of your visit, for the attractions you want to ride!
I wouldn't pay for it, but according to the story, it works.

Anybody heard of it or used it?

(At the end of the segment, in addition to providing a link to Disney.go.com/disneyland, they also linked to Mouse Planet and Laughing Place.)

I believe it's creator/developer "Ridemax" used to post on MousePad - I bet you could do a search there.

When I was doing research for our WDW trip I found that RideMax had a huge following on another Disney board. It basically takes previous crowd levels and gives a plan of action to see the most of the park. It's pretty hard core.

Yes, if you do a search on MousePad you'll find a lot of reviews from people who have used it. Most people like it and say it's useful, especially during busy times.

RideMaxMark - was that his name? He posted on several of the Disney boards.

Don't invest too much in this. I'm going to bury these suckers with my new Android software. I'll be tap dancing on their grave like Sammy Davis Jr. when I launch my Theme Park Oracle
