Howl'oween Part Deux - Doggie Style
So, yesterday, after a whopping 3 hours of sleep, I had the Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade. I coordinate the Alpha booth at the parade every year and, this year we decided to go all out and get a double booth space. We put together "The Bone Yard" - a pet cemetery inspired by the Jaunted Mansion. I made dozens of tombstones with funny pet epitaths and went all out with the booth decor. Thruston was dressed as our Gravedigger and was an ANGEL all day long - posing for photographers and with other dogs. The event was MOBBED! There were easily 1000 dogs there and even more people. The park was FILLED with wll to wall dogs in costumes and their handlers. Second Street was so packed that it was akin to Main Street at Disneyland during a Parade.
I made Thurston's costume. It's the first dog outfit I've ever made. I'm really pleased with the way it came out. Here's a few pics from the event. Chris has more, but they're not uploaded yet. Maybe later. Our booth and staff: Thurston and a friend from my Pug Board: The most handsome gravedigger ever! Thurston and Co=Pilot in the graveyard: Sleeping on the job (he was BEAT). The entire Adams Family was there. This was Pugsley. |
Shoot! We meant to stop by this year. We forgot. :(

I think that Chi that Snowflake posted would be a GREAT Triumph the Insult Dog. And, what a great costume that would be!
