Lashpair = AP Holders - but how to do it?

Checking the cost of a 14 day Aussie pass, we found that a Deluxe AP was only $40 dearer.

We have decided to become AP's because it gets us a nice price with Hojo's and also allows us the little thrill of having DL as "Our Park" (as opposed to "Y'all's Park")

NOW: Should we purchase them online now? Is there a way of processing them prior to arrival, or would we still have to have it done at the AP centre once we're there?

The advantage of doing it now, would be access to the AP website (I think...) and being able to choose what Birthday Treat Stoat wants to use ! :D

...any suggestions?

Based on someone's post elsewhere, I would suggest having someone go to Costco to pick up the Deluxe Passes for you. While they are no cheaper there, you do get a $50 gift certificate.

(While Costco does have a web site, the Deluxe APs are not available online.)

ETA: It was Chernabog who had the original suggestion.

What Kevy said.

What KS and Kevy said.

Then you'll have a bonus $50 USD to spend in the parks. I also think you can register on the birthday website and then change your selection to you have an AP. Will you be in the park's on Stoat's bday?

There are two options, one is the Costco passes which someone could purchase for you and you can't process them til you arrive but getting access to the passholder site isn't difficult once you activate them on your first visit, if you balance the 50 dollar gift card vs the 40 dollars increase you still come out 10 ahead. The other is an online deal (which I think you'd still need someone 'local' to help with that has the Deluxe on sale for 239 vs the 269.

Edited to add, either of these two options ....you take the coupon to the gate, they give you admittance, you walk over to the Bank and get your passes processed and you're done. You get 10 percent discounts on food with the Deluxe. IF you wanted to you could take the 100 in gift cards and upgrade one of your pass to a Premium for the 15 percent discounts on food and the 10 percent shoppers discount.

And included parking - parking is not included with a Deluxe, but it is with a Premium.

The difference between a deluxe with parking (add-on) and a premium is $61. Given the time between now and when the APs will be activated, it is likely the prices of the APs will increase.

I went and checked, keep in mind that your Deluxe will be blacked out on Saturday, April 25th so that adds 80 dollars to the expenses.

My suggestion, get the Costco deal with the gift cards. Based on the schedule you guys would need parking for six days @$12.00 a day = $60.00 or adding parking to one of the passes for $59.00. I'd use the two gift cards to pay for the blackout passes for the 25th. Keeping in mind that if you stay with your original hopper idea you still have to pay parking for those 6 days.

Re: the Costco thing -- I would check to see if it is a "So-Cal Only" thing, as in, only valid for people who live in SoCal.

They didn't ask me for ID when I purchased or redeemed it, but still I'd find out about that first. Then you'd just have to memorize NA's address and say you just moved in with her :)

That one I can answer, it's not a So cal only thing. They are only selling them in So Cal but the passes are for everyone. I know people who live in Nor Cal that have stopped on the way to the parks and purchased them and had no problems activating them.
