I'm almost in tears over this news. I had met and chatted with her at length on several occasions. She was always very welcoming and friendly. I am glad she was able to complete her work as the voice of the computer on the new Star Trek film. I cannot possibly imagine any other voice coming out of a Trek computer.

What a shame. She was a very classy lady. :(

Majel Barrett and Gene Rodenberry were wonderful examples of the sort of warm-hearted secular humanism that I personally long to see prevail in this galaxy. *sigh* Another class act has moved along.
