New Year's Eve at DL ROCKED!

The day can be summed up in a few pics

The BEST New Year Eve since my first date with Matt 12 years ago on NYE. Special moments were after the countdown. We were in Fantasyland on the tables and chairs in front of Casey Jr Circus Train which we rode for our last ride of 2008 (short line). Right after the countdown no one was in line so i go ahead and go ahead to get in line the cast member lets me know they are open if i want to ride. I am the only ONE on the train so i choose the back caboose car facing backwards. :) It was one heck of a ride all by myself in the fog and waving at people and they waved back. One magic ride of the New Year :) I couldn't have asked for anything more special than that :) I didn't need a Dream Fastpass or getting in free on my birthday nope one cast member did it all. Matt took a pic of me after the ride but didn't turn out too well with the fog and lights and him being aways away. Oh well the memory. I kinda felt like i was on a parade float waving while riding. :)

We rode Pirates after Small World Holiday and we managed to end up in our own boat with Mark behind Matt and myself. :) Another magic moment by a cast member loading us 3 into our own private boat ride :) Again i felt special not as special as the Casey Jr. ride but still.

Somehow i had enough energy to get me thru those long hours of the day and night not sure where the bursts came from but somehow i was just awake the entire time well almost lol...our car ride home this morning was interesting with the fog.

Speaking of which the original Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks show went off nicely but the midnight ones. There was so much fog out that we couldn't see them but heard them and could see the clouds change colors lol...kinda War of the Worlds like. Eeery but cool. We managed to ride more rides than i can count. More than a regular day visit to the park on Sundays it seemed.

Loved our stack of fastpasses :) Which came in handy very handy :) Now it's time to rest, watch the game (somehow i'm engrossed in it) and shower and either stay in my jammies or get dressed but considering not going out and the hour it is jammies it is i think. :)

Wow!! Such fun! How did you get all of those fast passes? WOW!

Your personal experiences sound like such wonderful memories! Glad to hear you had them. The fog can add such a feeling, eh?

Only once, once in my entire life have I had the opportunity to go to DL on NYE. I was 16 {so, it was a looong time ago} but my niece didn't want to go. I was visiting her so stayed home with her.

Some day. Especially after reading your wonderful posts and seeing the pics!!

Fastpasses hmmm I'll pm you about that little trick lol...

Yup it was a memorable NYE except for the DJ's and the crappy music they played.

Downside they totally missed the East Coast countdown and celebration like in previous years. Along with the other continents New Years as well. That totally stunk but only real downside.

Oh yes, as Bornieo just reminded me - although I don't have a photo for it, the night was made even better by

"JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMM!!!"

madmonkeygirl 01-01-2009 04:29 PM

I love that lol cracked me up the entire night afterwards :) Mark you made the night fun too. Ty for being there to share with us :)

So we are at SmallWorld mall listening to a really terrible DJ waiting for the 9pm New York New Year mini fireworks, when instead of getting that, we get some dope taking some people from the crowd and doing a stupid game where they have to guess the "song." Dumb.

So they get a guy who states his name as "Jim Beam" and it's all comedy from there. Me and CM then took turns screaming Jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmm!!

madmonkeygirl 01-01-2009 04:53 PM

And took turns all too well the rest of the night lol...made what should have been the East Coast feed something comical since the DJ's completely flucked that one up big time.

Glad you had such a good time!!!

It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. I'm sure it made it a lot easier to ride with a handful of fast passes, good score!
