Also already gone this year (from TV and screen):

Edmund Purdom - MGM epics back in the '50s, replaced Marlon Brando in The Egyptian.

Pat Hingle - Character actor, played Commissioner Gordon in the Keaton/ Kilmer Batman movies. Also, back in the '60s he survived a 50+ foot fall down an elevator shaft.

Don Galloway - Sergeant Brown on Ironside.

Steven Gilborn - TV character actor, Ellen Generes's dad on her sitcom.

Claude Berri - French director and screenwriter; won a Best Live Action Short Academy Award in 1966 for The Chicken.

Tom O'Horgan - Theater director including Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Lenny.
