Guitar Hero - For real.

I like it.

Guitar hero using a real guitar and real fingering.

And it's from Disney.

That's very cool. I think we need one. :) My daughter plays guitar already and this seems like a great way to keep the kids involved with learning new ways to play it too. More fun then looking through a book.

Noooooo! We are just about to buy Rock Band II for the Wii. We tried to get it yesterday but the stores were out. I'd prefer this in some ways, though it's def not going to be the same as the full Rock Band.

Ok, still getting Rock Band, but damn, do I want that.

Gary showed me something like that this weekend. They would take your real guitar and install all the electronics in it for Guitar Hero. Gary thought it was cool until he saw the price tag!

My only thing is, is it gonna have decent music, or just the crap that Disney has spewed out over the last few years?

No interest in learning to play guitar, but that could be a sweet way to learn piano.

Sure, except for having to restring the entire thing.

That's what illegal immigrants are for. For me to oppress by having them enable my gaming.

You better be able to make a perfect score on this game first.

Otherwise you could have a problem when 88 different colors come flying at you...

Alex 01-12-2009 02:29 PM

You wouldn't necessarily need 88 colors, just a more advanced system of representing things. I'm sure somebody has already figured out a lossless compression system for indicating what keys to hit.
