Any LoT'ers live in the Thousand Oaks area?

Hey gang,

I know that this is an odd ? but I'm looking for someone who is in the Thousand Oaks area that would be willing to go on a 'search and procurement' mission for me. In October I bought Miss B an adorable pair of ballet flats at the World of Disney, she loves them so much I decided I needed to buy her a couple more pair for the eventual time when this pair is beyond public appearance, only to find out that the parks and WoD no longer carry them. A CM at the time suggested they might appear at one of the clearance stores...fast forward, on MP someone mentioned they'd stopped at one of these exact stores located at the Janss mall next to Marshalls and that specifically mentioned shoes....that made the flame of hope flare...I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here on the Lot if anyone lived close enough that it wouldn't be an inconvenience to go scope it out for me. If they have them, they are black with mickey icons, in a size 6 I would happily paypal, send a check, hell I'd even wire it Western Union ....that's how much she adores these little shoes.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for looking but it turns out they have the shoes at the warehouse in Fullerton so I'm golden ....six pair in her size in hand

Damn. Now what in the heck am I going to do with the 137 pairs I just nabbed for you?

I knew I should have kept that receipt.

LOL, seriously, I had to force myself to stop at 6 pair, that's how much she loves these shoes....and the upside it's Missy, she is more change is bad than want the newest latest kid...so the fact she has the 'same' shoes for the next couple years only makes her thrilled.

Yeah. That'll last about another week.

(Based on my experience raising Headliner..... )

eh I take those blessings where I find them, Headliner will go on to great things, she'll have a career, a family and leave a mark on the world....Missy will leave this world as a 4 year old, and while I don't think it's too much to say she's left her own mark ...she will never be able to read labels or will she ever care about the latest greatest...in her world it's the people she loves, Disneyland and Mickey Mouse and the Wiggles...and I've learned that in her own way she'll leave this world better than she found it simply by being who she is.

Yay for a nice supply of Missy's shoes! :snap:

She's definitely leaving a mark on the world with her sense of simple pleasures. I think everyone needs to see things through a child's eyes - so filled with enchantment and wonder! She's a great reminder of that. :)

I've never had the chance to meet Missy perhaps one day I will have that pleasure, but you are without a doubt correct. All children are special and all in their own ways.

Awww! I do live near TO and would have checked the store for you, but I'm glad that you were able to find the right shoes.
