Aaauuugh! Worst earworm ever! (Had to bail on this video really early- but I was too late. I'm stuck with it now - the song that made me want to shiv Billy Joel - *sigh*)

I'm with Flippy, now I've got to listen to something to rid myself of the earworm. Funny as hell, though.

Ugh, no kidding. Uptown Girl, even worse. And let's not forget It's Still Rock & Roll to Me. Ack.

Apparently, others share the disdain.

As you all probably know, I have essentially zero interest in music. Not so much disdain as a simple complete disinterest.

This has always been the case (it isn't just me pouting that my teenage tastes are no longer met by "the music kids have these days"). Back in high school English there was some assignment where we had to provide the lyrics to our favorite song (apparently I had an English teacher that was ahead of the game on Stupid Facebook Memes).

I knew no lyrics to songs. I could barely name the title of a song. So at home I found the first of my sisters' cassettes I could and picked a song essentially at random from the liner notes.

It was "We Didn't Start the Fire"

At that time I'm not sure I'd ever heard it out loud. Anyway, the one comment from the teacher when I got the assignment back was "Oh, I love that song too!"

And now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Cute video. I like Alex's story even better.
