Cabin Swank 2010 - Poll for Possible Dates

Cause it's never too early to start planning ;)

Oh, and here are the rates for Scenic Wonders (might change in between now and the fall?) and keeping in mind May is more pricey than April. Of course there are other cabin ops, but Scenic Wonders was pretty swanky

Have at it! ;-)

Oh my!

I'm in. Whenever it is, if Snowy's going, I'm in.

Keep in mind that any dates after April eliminate the need to carry chains unless weather warrents. The park requires them thru April 30th.

I no got camping gear. Swank cabining is much more my style.

We'd totally be in for this. I selected the end of April, which hopefully will coincide with post-NAB and post-Coachella trips.

Oh, and if an additional cabin would be needed, Strawberry Creek is literally right next door, not even a minute away, so we could still commune at Scenic Wonders without a problem.

sorry friends, but I am of the mind that cabins do not = camping.

not that cabins are bad, but theyre generally not really for me. Im gonna hold out hope for the real deal in 2010.

Not that I wouldn't go regardless (now that I know how the vacation requests work, planning this much in advance is A-double-plus good) but I still kind of like the idea of going some place different every year. I realize I haven't been to any of the prior swank camps, so they're all new places to me, but I'd prefer to do something next year that's not a repeat of sorts. Whether it's tent camping or cabin camping doesn't matter to me.

innerSpaceman 04-20-2009 07:33 PM

Nope. Not at the expense of Swank Camp. Each has its advantages. But one naturally precludes the other. If we like both, why not alternate years?

If so, next year would be a long-awaited Swank Camp.
