yeah, kinda sorta. I was thinking more some polished brass, a wee bit of ivory inlay...you know, a little more art deco sort of treatment

This was shown in L.A. years ago. :confused: I walked it with a few of the artists.

Oh I see it's now in in a real museum. So now people can feel free to like it.

(I'm really not that bitter, but it had to be said). :D

That answers my question about how this "all artists do a version of something" meme is still around.

I think it was the Chicago Bulls that were the first...but with anything like this, you've a range of artists, the one's the rise in prominence, bring attention to the show as a whole.

But in a sense I suppose it's no different than in earlier times when every artist painted their own versions of the same religious toipic.
